Projects

Energy Access

The Ministry of Mines and Energy under the Off-grid Energization Master Plan (OGEMP) is electrifying government institutions such as schools, police stations, and clinics which are situated in off-grid localities using containerized photovoltaic (PV) systems.

Since 2013 the Ministry has supplied twenty-three (23) containerized photovoltaic (PV) systems: nine (9) in Omusati, seven (7) in Kunene and seven (7) in Otjozondjupa Region.

Promotion of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

  • to create a culture of energy consciousness
  • to improve framework conditions for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency technologies
  • to create dialogue platforms for advancement of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
