Petroleum commissioner Maggy Shino says more needs to be done to develop the local petroleum industry.
She was speaking at the Mining Expo and Conference in Windhoek on Thursday.
“The size of the discoveries that we have made in comparison to others is still very small,” she said.
Shino said the ministry is working to increase the country’s global footprint.
“We have managed to make an impact, and Namibia is now a country that everyone looks at,” she said.
